Teenage girl working as a nanny in the home of a local cop and his wife was found to have hanged herself on the patio. Initially there was a huge uproar because people thought the bitchy wife strangled her for hitting on the husband. Locals even mobbed her house and put her in stocks and threw fruit at her.

A suicide note was later discovered, though it did allege abuse on the part of the husband, though not explicitly.

So it is almost certainly a suicide, but charges may yet be pending. Her death occurred last week in Bolivia.

Another teen hanger, this one in Peru. Happened yesterday. Photos are only of her body cut down and are mostly censored, but adding them here in case I (or someone else) finds clearer replacements. Can't make out much detail at all, so they're sub par. But it is what it is.

Normally I don't like posting a case with only censored photos, but this case is quite interesting in terms of story and forensic merit.

In July 2021, in Nicaragua, a young girl M.J.M.C. was found hanged from a hammock. Apparently the girl accidentally hanged herself when playing with the hammock.

However, after investigation, it was found that the girl was murdered by her grandmother P.S.C., who had had an argument with her daughter-in-law (the girl's mother). When the girl told her grandmother not to waste firewood as the girl would need to go to fields to pick up more firewood, her grandmother flipped out and strangled the girl with the hammock.

The murderous grandma was sentenced to 17.5 years in prison.

Just from the photos alone, I can't find any evidence of foul play. The hammock looks normal. The piss puddle looks normal. Maybe the forensics found a broken hyoid bone and defensive wounds which strongly suggest foul play.

The lesson is that sometimes the photos look normal enough even if there's foul play.

The first video seems to be something like a Tiktok hanging challenge. Stuff like this was quite frequent on Tiktok. Until an italian girl accidentally offed herself and these kind of challenges were banned. Most likely no suicide stream, since the cutain rail would never support a suicidal hanging.

Seems a bit odd to hang herself while still wearing her purse, but who knows.
