New find from Indonesia.


This teen girl was caught in flagrante delecti with a guy from her school. Her grandmother caught them together in the girl's bedroom and chased the guy out, then disciplined the girl by grounding her. She lived at grandma's house because her parents both work abroad.

Apparently, she snuck out sometime during the night and hanged herself in shame, as grandma went out to sweep the porch the next morning and saw the girl hanging in the guava tree.

The scene report indicates that the young woman was hanging about 7 meters off of the ground and had used a brown sarong as a noose. She was wearing a pink, long-sleeved shirt, black jeans, and was barefoot though her sandals were discovered at the base of the tree. She did not leave a note, but the police have ruled the death a suicide due to the circumstances and the scene. She had no injuries except for the ligature mark, her tongue was protruding and bitten (leaving blood on her chin), and excrement was found in her underpants.

I'm Indonesian, and after reading the article, here's what I can summarize. The husband worked overseas in Malaysia for about seven months; he's back after finding out his wife has an affair with his neighbor back in Indonesia. Before he came back, his son heard about the affair and tried to tell the neighbors nicely to leave his mother-in-law alone. But, the neighbors blatantly said, "It is your mom who wanted to be with me, and my wife was asking for a divorce which I agreed to."

They are still having an affair even though the husband has returned. Few days before the suicide, the husband told his son, "If they still having an affair, death is the only way." Which he actually did a couple of days later with his cheating wife. (wut???)

46 year old high school teacher (who had received multiple honors and awards for her teaching career) was found hanging early in the morning at her home. She had been depressed due to the failure of some side businesses she had invested in. Her family found her in a partial suspension hanging kneeling down.

The police report said that she was dead less than 30 minutes when found. No rigor or livor were noted on her body. The physical examination at the scene found no injuries other than the ligature mark.
