With the end of a rope tied to a tube placed on the roof and the other end around her neck, a woman took her own life yesterday morning in the Doctores neighborhood of the Cuauhtémoc mayor's office.

According to the woman's neighbors, it was around 9 in the morning when the sister of the deceased, 64 years old, found her. The woman hung from a building at the intersection of Doctor Erazo and Doctor Jiménez streets, so she immediately called the emergency services to come to the site.

Upon arrival, firefighters and Civil Protection personnel carried out the maneuvers to rescue the lady; however, upon being released, she no longer had vital signs.

Until then it was unknown what would have been the reason why the woman had decided to hang herself on her roof.

Con el extremo de una cuerda amarrada en un tubo colocado en la azotea y el otro extremo en su cuello, una mujer se quitó la vida la mañana de ayer en la colonia Doctores, de la alcaldía de Cuauhtémoc.

De acuerdo con vecinos de la mujer, fue cerca de las 9 de la mañana cuando la hermana de la difunta, de 64 años de edad, la encontró. La señora colgaba de un edificio en el cruce de las calles Doctor Erazo y Doctor Jiménez, por lo que de inmediato llamó a los servicios de emergencia para que acudieran al sitio.

Al llegar, bomberos y personal de Protección Civil realizaron las maniobras para rescatar a la señora; sin embargo, al ser liberada, ya no contaba con signos vitales.

Hasta ese momento se desconocía cuál habría sido el motivo por el cual la mujer había decidido ahorcarse en su azotea.
