Great adds. I've had a devil of a time finding hanging photos for the past few months-good to see that your resources have not dried up.

"Ahorcada" definitely means hanged woman, "la horca" is the gallows, "ahorcado" is the male form.
The verb is "ahorcarse" which means literally 'to put oneself to the gallows'.
He/she hangs herself is "se ahorca", in past time "se ahorcó". Similar verb is "colgarse".

First: You are right - the article, you quote, translates much better than the one on the site from which the image originates. The site you mention has images too, often better and in this case definitely better. But they are useless with the big watermark covering everything essential, so I don't even check the site anylonger. Thus I hadn't seen their text.

Second: This solves the problem - it is a post mortem hanging, which any coroner will reveal in just seconds. This still doesn't make her a hanging victim (in my opinion at least), but it makes it natural that the word is used.

Man, hanging yourself while your husband is on duty is bad enough...doing it right over your shared bed and pissing all over the poor guy's pillow? Terrible...
