Yeah, I get that. And in some countries that conclusion is a no-brainer. It just very very rarely surfaces as an issue in Cambodia. Different culture and different views on propriety. The response here is uncharacteristic and thus peculiar.

A 22-year-old woman, mother of a young child (around 4yo), was found hanged in Lahore, Pakistan.

According to google translate of some news reports, the woman was pregnant for eight months already, and in the fourth month of pregnancy the doctor said the baby would be a girl. Her husband asked her to abort but she refused, so there had been some quarrel, and at her eighth month of pregnancy her husband lost control and strangled her. And then he set the scene up as suicide.

20 year old woman was discovered by her young son as she dangled in a noose made of a green nylon rope. It was stated by family members that she was having relationship difficulties with her husband.

I cannot discern what she used to stand on, though it looks to me like a large speaker. The report didn't mention it. It only stated that the visual exam conducted by the police indicates that her tongue was swollen and clenched in her teeth, the ligature marks on her neck matched the dimensions of the rope, and that her jean shorts were wet with urine...all three typical markers in hanging deaths.

The body has been sent for autopsy to conclude the investigation.

21 year old F.C. hanged herself at around 6.30am on 28th April 2019 in Kapuas (Indonesia). Her 5 year old son, M.A., found her hanging + ran crying into the kitchen to tell a relative that his mother was dead.

Bengali student did not come out for dinner when called. When her family checked her room, it was locked. Upon battering the door down they discovered her hanging beside her bed. No motive was known and no note was left. Lot of news stories about students in that region hanging themselves due to failed examinations in school. No idea if she is among them.

Alas, she even wore the Yellow Pants and they did no good whatsoever.

This one was actually a homicide. 19 year old girl got into a spat with her boyfriend and he wound up 'closing her mouth and choking her neck' when she got him too agitated. Seeing what he'd done, he panicked and staged a hanging in a tree nearby to where the couple had been out walking.

The police originally ruled it a suicide, but began investigating the boyfriend after her family complained. He did a pretty sloppy job with the murder (including leaving her sandals at the murder scene some yards away instead of at the tree) and it didn't take him long at all to confess.

It's up here somewhere, maybe in its own thread. It was a big story. She was actually murdered by a family member (father uncle, stepfather, I don't recall) who was abusing her. It was solved as a homicide staged as a suicidal hanging.
