In Bangladesh on 1st July 2018, 25 year old Priyanka Pal hanged herself. She had posted photos of family + blamed someone for her suicide (can't work out who). Then when friends/family saw this, they called her house + her work place. The police went round + found her hanging. She had been in a relationship for 8 years. It seems that her father told her to not to accept a marriage proposal, this seems to have led to her suicide. Her brother states that he thinks it was not a suicide, but a murder. She left a note to her boyfriend. Edit: I've also read that it was her boyfriend's mother that did not approve + would disown her son if they married.  |
