Probably not. What you're seeing is knot placement combined with the beginning of "stretching" which separation of the vertebrae/cartilage due to the weight of the victim.

I believe this was in Eastern India, Couple hanged using one rope looped over a tree branch. Apparently the man was married to someone else and had a child by his wife, but now loved another.
