It's the ones that do the short drop that have it the worst, I think. Those poor slobs who stand on a bucket or chair and drop two inches from a ceiling rafter and then twist and dance, like the Davis girl in Georgia or that Indian woman from last year.

I suspect they go out fairly quickly too, of course, but unlike the partial suspension where they rest on their knees or feet and slump forward, I do not believe that the 15-20 seconds of consciousness they do have is pleasantly painless and sleepy.
