Re: Hanged Girls Thread Continued
She commited suicide on 1st June, 2017. This is the news website https://www.kannadigaworld.com/kanna...kn/317972.html unfortunately the website has rasterised the page:coffee:, and so i can't save the photos or select and translate the Tamil writeup I am taking screenshots and cropping the photos to upload. cheers :3 would be glad if someone could translate the text from the news page.. but unless someone here knows to read and comprehend Telegu, I don't think it'll be possible.. curse these Kannada news sites, thinking their news is proprietary and making it right click protected .!! The student of Srinivas Engineering College who ended her life on Thursday was overcome with guilt at not being able to live up to the expectations of her parents. Suchethana (18), had committed suicide after finding out that she had failed in one subject in her first semester examination, because of this overwhelming feeling. She said in her note that she was the only student to have failed in Computer studies. This was revealed in the suicide note she had left behind. In her suicide note addressed to her parents, the teenager confessed that she was feeling that she had let down her parents by failing in a subject in her very first semester. "I am very much fed up. You have spent lot of your hard earned money on me. Please pardon me for taking this step after making you to spend so much. Although I was expecting good marks, the result made me feel dejected at my very existence. I have taken this decision, as I do not have the courage and confidence show my face to people," she stated therein. In a line addressed to her younger brother (Appu), she asked him to look after her parents well. Suchethana, who belonged to Hangaravalli in Chikkamagaluru, had arrived at her college from her hometown after learning that the first semester result was to be published on Thursday. After finding in the college that she had failed in one of the subjects, she directly headed to her hostel room. She poured out her pain at having failed in the examination after joining engineering college in spite of hailing from a poor family with some friends whom she met there. At around 10 am she went into the room and closed the door. Between 10.15 am and 12 noon she hanged herself by using the veil of her dress from a fan. Later, she did not respond when other students of her room called her over phone. Repeated knocks on the door too did not get any response. Later, her hostel mates informed the warden who arranged to open the door forcibly to find that the girl had committed suicide. Her body was handed over to parents who had come from Chikkamagaluru after postmortem. It is gathered that Suchethana, who was eldler of the two children of her parents, is survived by parents and a younger brother who is studying in Moodbidri college. |
