None of that is really true if you do it right. You only need 20-30 seconds (or less) before you pass out and gravity takes over, finishing the job.

Yes. People tend to focus on the choking aspect of self hanging (not execution style where the neck is broken from the drop), but if done properly the cutting off of the blood flow to the brain produces unconsciousness and death rather quickly. Choking is secondary then.

A few minutes of unconscious struggling and kicking, yes. But it's really hard to place a noose so wrong to leave both carotids and jugulars open in a full suspension.

You can tell it's been here by the Documenting Reality watermark that the Chinese guy over at goregrish tried to blur out when he reposted it over there yesterday. In two years of posting there, he has never put up a single image that didn't come through here first, trust me. |
