Re: Hanged Girls Thread Continued
Apparently one of the corpses that SDI posted had her pictures circulated throughout facebook. She somewhat became an overnight celebrity. Khmer. The vid was shot using a potato so I apologize that the vid is low res. |

Re: Hanged Girls Thread Continued
There are only a (very) few countries where it is socially acceptable (and legally permissible without fear of lawsuits) to take and publish photographs or videos of dead bodies. And even in those locales, it is only about half as common now as it was 5 years ago due to a rising public complaint about the indecency of it. For the Latin American stuff, it predominantly comes from Mexico, Brazil (those two comprise about 80% of the Latin American content), Honduras, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, and Peru. The majority of what we do see from those areas comes from 'nota roja' journalists. Especially ones who pay ethically-dubious policia to call them BEFORE the body removal teams show up to cover and bag and remove the corpse. Most of the Asian stuff is split between Thailand and India, with a few from Indonesia and Cambodia as well. Cambodian stuff is actually fairly prolific, but it is quite difficult to do Google searches in the Khmer script, so we don't see a lot of them here. Anyway, unlike the Latin American stuff, most of what we get from Thailand is actually provided by the EMT/rescue workers themselves. The 'official' releases of this footage are usually censored for the nightly news, but the rescue workers themselves have a strong tradition of photo-documenting everything and releasing it on private channels like Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Youtube, etc. So it isn't so much that hanging suicides are more frequent in these countries (not that you were necessarily implying that anyway), but the countries listed above have the most relaxed legal and social standards regarding the dissemination of this type of material. |

Re: Hanged Girls Thread Continued
Mexico. Ages 24, 26, 24, and 12, respectively. Followed by 3x Brazil, aged 46. Cheers. I am just getting back to posting a little after taking about 6 months off from doing so. These are all recent finds, but I may start putting up the 6 months of backlog I have stored up at some point if I find the time. |
