Not the greatest set here, but a slow week, so... Teenage girl in Indonesia hung herself due to a breakup. Her brother said he'd caught her mixing some sort of toxin with a bottle of sprite earlier in the week, but he took it away from her and she told him she was just trying to get drunk, so he wrote it off. A few days later, she hung herself during the night in the door frame of her bedroom. According to the scene report, she used a white karate belt as a noose and stood on a blue chair to tie it, then stepped off the chair. No hanging images, as her family had cut her down by the time the ambulance arrived. But she was pronounced dead at the scene. Forensic report form the police said that no foul play was suspected. No signs of external violence were found on the corpse and the visual examination at the scene led to a hanging conclusion. The report indicated that the ligature bruise around her neck matched the belt and that her tongue was swollen and slightly protruding, both common signs in hanging. I've seen it periodically. I did some reading about it in a few forensic journals a while back. Something to do with pressure when the blood circulation is cut off. Pretty sure it's the same thing that causes petechiae in the eyes. I wouldn't necessarily call it 'common', but it isn't unusual enough to be of particular note in terms of cause of death.  |

Vertebral arteries are still trickling in blood in many of the cases. That makes pink faces, noose bleeding, salivating, petechiae etc. Once the heart stops, blood trickles out the same way it got in. Most prominent case is the Finnish dude suicide video.

Once again, not the greatest set. But not awful in spite of the blurring. Sometimes I get lucky and get uncensored pics from Indonesia if I catch them quickly enough. This time they're a little censored. 34 year old woman hung herself in her home due to economic hardship. She used an electrical cord in the doorframe of her bathroom. According to the details of the report, she was facing east with her bare feet on the floor and one knee bent. The door frame was 200cm high, the cord was 92cm from the frame to her neck, her body was 133cm from the floor to the noose. There were no signs of violence on her body aside from a deep ligature mark from the cord. The report also stated that her tongue was protruding past her teeth, her chin and upper shirt were covered with saliva, and she'd voided her bowels while dying and left a load in her underpants. She left a husband and two children, all featured in the accompanying antemortem photo.  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |
