Without sounding silly, it's as simple as lifting your feet. You don't have to have all your weight on your feet, it'll transfer back after death occurs.

It only takes a few seconds and not much pressure on the neck to obstruct the blood to the brain and you pass out rapidly and gravity takes over.

All you need to do is slump against the neck restraint and you'll pass out real quick, then die unless it breaks or you're revived. Most people who hang themselves don't have their feet off the ground
