Brand new from Brazil. 29 year old woman. Her husband woke up this morning (January 5th) and she wasn't in bed, so he went looking for her.

Found her outside as you see here. Surprised she didn't lose at least one of those flip-flops as the damp earth under her feet looks a bit kicked up.

I always wonder how they don't stop themselves from hanging if they are at ground level? Natural instinct i thought would kick in and you stand up.

Sadly hanging victims pass out quickly to the noose constricting the blood vessels supply to the brain, this can happen as soon as 3 to 4 seconds. While the victim may seem to struggle they are completly out of it.

Hanging victims becomes unconscious pretty fast, since no fresh oxygenized blood reaches the brain anymore. Its just around 5-10 seconds after the victim knees down and the noose starts to compress the blood vessels into the head.
So after few seconds the body collapses and hangs with full weight, without any chance for the victims to rescue themselves. They will die within minutes, if no one interferes and rescue them. Within this timeframe the hanging body/limbs keeps moving around, but the victim doesnt realize anything about this.

In fact the vast majoriy of suicides are committed like this, complete suicidal hangings are pretty rare. You can see it in this ync-vid, which was posted 1-2 years ago, about a guy who committed suicide in front of a webcam. The timeindex is a bit screwed, I suppose 1 sec in this vid are like 2 secs in real. You can see that he simply isnt self-aware anymore, a few seconds after he sat down.

It was a love triangle suicide, It's not specified how they were able to hang themselves so high!
