As a Human biologist I have to point out this is only 90% true. Yes its to do with pressure on the cartoid artery and lack of oxygen deprivation. But it not the lack of oxygen to your muscles thats the problem. Muscles can go quite a quite without a proper oxygen supply (if it was atheletes would just collaspe and suffer incontience as soon as they start getting out of breath). What causes the urination is the lack of oxygen/blood supply to the most important thing of all, the brain! It causes seizers and convulsions like in epilepsy causeing incontience the majority of the time. Even if the bladders only partly full its ejected and so are the bowel contents. It is also true womens bladder nerves are more sensitive to convulsions too I have a male and female freind with epilespy. The male freind almost never urinates, my female freind unfortunatly does every time.
As far as after death urine release it depends. The bladder has 2 sphinters. One under voluntery control and the other Involuntery. Now the involuntery one is by defult closed. A nerve impulse is infact needed to open it or a large amount of pressure. It hense forth only opens if you strain and contract the bladder (increaceing pressure) or you bladder starts to get full, in which case controls is completly up to your external voluntarry sphinter, which in turn increases the need to urinate. Its partly why people who sever there spninal cord on a empty bladder will most likely get unrinary retention rather than if it happens on a full bladder which will cause incontinece. But anyway, if you drop dead on a emptish bladder (barring any convulsions or fear ) and that internal sphinster is closed that pee will proberbly stay in untill the muscle start to decay as with no nerve impulse means it will stay shut. If however the internal sphinter is open when you die you better hope you die on a toliet as its gunna come out :D Also the amount that come out will be dependent on you position of death. With no contractions theres gunna be nothing forceing your urine out so it will be like a hole in the side of a bucket, the urine level will drop and leak out until the urine reaches the level of the hole (or uretha) in the bladder wall. If you lieing on your back the urine leakege will prob be little, like in some of the little patchs of urine you see in other posts. If your standing up its all gunna gush out.
Sorry for long post but I know some people are rather intrested or wonder if they will leave a clean corpse. Well the anwser is depends how you die and how often you go to the toliet lol
