Not brand new, but new to the thread. Mexican teenager (18) cut down after suicidal hanging. Happened back in June of this year.

With loss of consciousness (happening IMMEDIATELY after suspension, regardless what people think and say) all the muscles relax, including urethral sphincter, that's why they release the bladder. The noose digs into the neck, applying pressure on the base of the tongue and thus squeezing it out of mouth. Sometimes jaws muscles spasm, and they severely bite their tongue (blood from mouth). Also, the noose locks some amount of blood in the head, causing noose bleeding and saliva glands activity. But regardless how it looks like, it's almost painless death. First they feel strong pressure on their necks (no pain if the noose is thick and soft), and in several seconds they feel nothing... Well, maybe they get hard time with St. Peter, but surely nothing worse than problems they've escaped from. :) |
