Just throwing this out there for comment: the rope is tied to a rafter which is fairly high up. It looks as if she could not have reached up to tie it off, even if standing on the chair. I could be wrong. It appears as if the rope is longer than her body. And after all that effort, she wound up with one foot on the floor. I doubt that she took the time to arrange things perfect, but I would expect someone who put the rope up that high to be fully suspended or at least to have tied the noose farther above the ground.

Thanks Vedderman. I was mainly thinking of the "choking game" kid and the Indonesian Facebook live guy. Seems like he could've woke up the whole town with them groovy moves. The kid also seemed to be making some weird noises too. I don't know

There is no air getting through the throat once the rope has become tight at the start of the hanging. No air passing through the throat and over the vocal chords means no noise from the mouth or nose.
The only noise there would be is if the limbs happen to physically strike something during the death throes.

Of course I wasn't there to witness the tragedy unfold, so I'm in no position to judge.

It's highly probable to us 'DR vets' that she killed herself, because we have seen many different photos of hangings and know all the different earmarks of a suicidal hanging. This gives us the ability to compare this girl's 'crime scene' photos to these other known hanging suicides.
Her family probably hasn't seen many, if any, hangings to be able to compare, plus they may not have even seen this crime scene! Her family may only know what they would have been told, that she was 'killed' and found hanging by a rope, and so, not knowing ANY circumstances of her death, to them it is certainly a viable option that the abusive boyfriend could possibly have done it.

If i was going to hang myself there, it would have been from that table, not the chair. Higher spot so easier to reach the roof and a longer drop. It looks like theres a beam right over the table but i might be wrong.
