In Norway three days before the murder, December 20, the accused posted on a popular web forum, at 3 o'clock that Sunday: "I have a Christmas present for you," he wrote, adding to whom, how and why he should kill, but that he first needed to drink.

Around 3.20 pm that night, other anonymous posters participanting in the forum thread wrote "good luck!" And "do it, coward!"

Several encouraged him to take pictures or stream the murder. Then he put out a picture of the object he wanted to use, a 14 kg heave fire extinghuiser and a knife before he asked the participants luck at about 4.30am.

If this is real, we have driven a man to murder, one of the participants writes.

At 4.50 the man wrote that the murder had been completed and posted a picture of the alleged crime scene.

His stepfather was a sexual abusive men and that he raped and abused several women. It is not sure if the stepfather actually abused the murderer.

He planned to wait till the guy was asleep and hit him in the head with the extinghuiser and then choke him to death with a rope or some sort and if it all failed he took a knife as back up plan to finish the job.

The dead man was found on Sunday morning, after the man himself called the police. The murder should have happened on the lower floor, where several tenants live, and there was damage to the door of the apartment.

The man charged with the murder is detained for four weeks. He has acknowledged of the murder, but has not taken a position on the question of criminal liability.

The police say the murder victim is still not formally identified, even though they have a statement about who he is.

The police also do not want to say anything more about what kind of connection there is between the two men in the case, but argue that they think there is a relationship between them.

Could be he was looking for someone to talk him out of it, or just saying goodbye to people he talked to online. Posting the photos may have had numerous purposes, only one of which is seeking some form of approval or acknowledgment from strangers online. Do bear in mind that he disappeared right after posting that final image to call the police, noting it was going to effectively end his life.

He actually did call the police, as far as I know.

If I remember the original thread correctly (I wasn't in it, as I don't use that board, but I searched for it), this was his stepfather or some such (the police here don't generally publish much details on cases such as these, and the media rarely convey everything until it is confirmed and a verdict has been arrived at, out of concern for the parties), and I think he had been abused by the guy for years before getting to this point.

Time will tell.

There's always a chance of that and I have no doubt there are members here that are psychopaths. This is a gore site.
