Looks like a Spanish 1911 spin off in 22 as said up to about 32. Wasn't much power it was a definite contact wound without much gas damage.

Re: Gunshot Wounds From A .38 Smith & Wesson Special

kk nerd..

This idiot doesnt know that a 9 mm has bigger bullets then a .38

I bet he doesnt even owe an Weapon
A 38spl is .357 in diameter, a 9mm is .356 in diameter , so you're wrong :)

Furthermore , the first picture appears to be a 1911 from the barrel bushing, however looks like it's a bit smaller than .45. I think the one poster is correct in saying it was a 38 super, which is interesting, as 38 super is quite a rare caliber.

Re: Gunshot Wounds From A .38 Smith & Wesson Special

Having no gun savvy whatsoever could someone please explain bullet sizes and types? I reckoned 9mm must be a little under .38" so why is it classed as a "pussy" weapon? After reading a thread above I now discover they are almost the same. I've used 7.62 and 5.56 rifles and a Browning 9mm in the Army some years ago but never got into it all!
