I suspect they thought that at least one member of staff would care enough to let them out. Apparently, no-one did... It is also quite possible that the person that started the fire was so disturbed that they were incapable of comprehending the potential result of their action... |

Soooo they were making a statement about being raped at a place called the "virgin assumption " I'm thinking you can assume they weren't virgins when they died??? Quips aside this is fuckn messed up. I can't help but wonder why when there are riots in prison why we can't get lucky enough to cut down on tax dollars by having a solid dent in the prison population when they set their cells on fire. God knows these poor kids didn't deserve it. |

In countries like that no one will even remember them in a couple months there is just to much crime and really in the end ..... people are numb to the misery and death. Human life in 1st world countries can be sold for a couple thousand dollars in third world nations it is so worthless people trade life as a favor to one another. People are fuggn worthless.... literally. |

That last (people are worthless) was Denzel Washington's professed view during his gangsta days. He particularly applied it to himself. It was only when he gained self respect that he then began to respect other persons and turned his life around.
