Dental prosthesis. In this case, I'd say the plate for a partial denture. She either coughed it out while struggling for her final breaths or the scene responders removed it to make sure her airway was clear.

Wonder if it’s someone the family knew.
Or maybe a chance robbery...they were just waiting for someone to walk out and hopefully have some good amount of money.
Or maybe one of the robbers went into the place and overheard that the family was getting a large amount.
