Although very well researched Kellhound, the gunshot data is secretly faulty. When they did the stats, they wanted gunshots to look greater than all other ways folks are murdered. What they did was include all shooting suicides, intentional police shootings (cops righteously shoot bad guy) and any accidental shootings. Of course that made evil guns look like the most common method of homicide. While it may very well be gunshot homicides out number all other methods of homicides, it's no where near as high as those stats might indicate.
