The impression given here is that nobody was particularly interested in finding him. Probably no estate for the wife to collect, and nobody else with any interest in the matter. There are a lot of folks offing themselves who fit into this category. Most get found because . . . well corpses tend to stick out and/or stink.

I don’t know if this was a rhetoric question or not, but I’ll take a crack at it. I tried to kill myself this fall, and I was a regular non-posting member here on DR. Obviously I’m still here to tell the tale, and the fact is that I was so mentally fucked at the point of my suicide attempt that I didn’t give a shit or even think about the clean up. People who commit suicide often feel like walking corpse anyways, and don’t have a high opinion of themselves that they worry their ugly dead body may diminish. |
