Well, never has this militant atheist entertained such thoughts. And I seriously doubt that any of the many atheists that I know, militant or otherwise, have ever entertained such idiocy, either.
Too, one needn't be an atheist to know that the condemnation of gay people for their being gay is utterly unjustifed.
But let us suppose for a moment that there is indeed a "god," and that that "god" really does have a problem with gay people. In which case I say - fuck "god" in its ear holes! For there is no logical reason whatsoever that homosexuality should ever be regarded as something of an antisocial nature.
In a world filled with hatred, much of it of a religious nature, love and kindness must always be welcomed irresepctive of sexuality.

Well stated. I understand the position; indeed it is close to my own in the past. I wonder how old you are, and I wonder if you will be quite as sure of yourself at, say 75 or 80. I'm not implying that you will or won't be; just wondering. I think often of Antony Flew, who was a renowned atheist philosopher as I am (a philosopher, not renowned!). If you don't know who he was you could look him up, but only if you are interested in pursuing the topic. As sure of yourself as you seem to be, perhaps you won't consider that to be worth the time and effort. I completely understand.

when your young time seems such a barrier.just had to wait and act on their hearts later and be damned what the family says.one of my kids is gay and i have no problem with her decisions as they are hers.if my youngest child (boy) is gay then who cares .i love him and will support him as i do with all my kids.we create these avoidable situations with our short sighted worlds.
