Re: Forbidden Love
About 2000 years ago there lived a guy who hung out with a bunch of other guys exclusively. They did everything together, and were united by a common bond. They travelled and taught others and were soon revered by all who met them. Then along comes a Jewish High Priest who said to himself, "There's something funny about that lot." and rushed to tell the other Priests of his suspicions. My guess is that Jesus was not crucified for his teachings or his miracles - after all - there was no harm in that - but to be accused of homosexuality .... what a simple way to rid the world of that upstart who dared to proclaim himself the Messiah. Homophobia is not exclusive to modern times. Like racism, it has existed forever. Think about it. Not quite as inconceivable as you may think. I detest homophobes, racists, and all the other hypocrites who are poisoning the planet with their stinking opinions. Life is too short for malice. These poor girls never stood a chance to bang their own drums. Shame on the swine who drove them to it.

Re: Forbidden Love
As a fellow atheist I can give you some peace of mind... I believe, having questioned the existence of a god being force fed to me since my early childhood, I can say I started being a non believer since I was about 11 years old, after being completely revolted by what I considered an unbelievable proposition, later in life, after realizing how things work in this universe that surrounds us, I have gotten to the irrefutable conclusion that even the smallest piece of knowledge we can extract from it costs lots of time and effort, the laws of thermodynamics prevent us from getting something for nothing. Calculating 1+1 is easy and will not take much effort to do so, but if I ask you to calculate the value of the billionth prime number that's going to get you quite some time, you can't provide an accurate, real answer instantaneously and with no effort. The same goes for any knowledge extracted from nature, it cost humanity thousands of years to know how to make fire or how to forge iron, etc. Only recently we understood why and how the sun produces its energy. Then, when someone tells me that humans already know how the universe began since almost two thousand years ago, taking not much time and even less effort by declaring some kind of god made everything, it is clear that their assertion violates the very fabric of reality. Someone who believes there is a god that made everything almost always gets to that conclusion after zero effort and little time invested, such response cannot be true, accurate or valid for it goes against the way the universe allows us to acquire knowledge, finding how the universe began is much harder than solving the three body problem and no on has solved the later yet, much less who made everything that exists, I bet the answer does not include a being but only some strange, yet unknown properties of matter and energy, and there must be an equation for that. Don't be afraid of imaginary beings, that's for kids, remember, you're too old for that! |

Sad, but infuriating. Fuck8ng teenagers thi k everything is the end of the world. Sometimes, or really, all the time, you have to agonize through and fight through difficulties and adversity until your free. O4 you just have to grow up and give the rest of life a chance. I'm a bit of a looney tool myself, but I can't buy any excuse for kids so young to domthis.
