The first dead body I ever saw had been missing in a salt water creek for 6 days when we pulled him up off the bottom. That sight will probably haunt me forever. They used a large net and some hooks (like the ones used to grab ice blocks) to secure his body. The marine animals were still feasting on him, and his skin literally seeped through the netting. Re-living my experience through the drowing pics here brings back some crazy flashbacks. I have empathy for those that have to pull a bloated stinker out of the water. Tough job.
