Re: Few Hangings
WASILLA, Alaska -- A Mat-Su teenager is dead of self-inflicted wounds, but her family says they do not believe it was suicide. The 17-year-old was playing a deadly game most parents have never heard of, known as the "choking game." And the parents of Megan Williams, who recently died from playing the game, are warning all parents that their children could also become victims. Those who knew her will tell you she was full of life. "So many dreams she had that wanted to do, so many different things," Ed Williams, Megan's dad, said. But her life was cut short thanks to this dangerous game. It involves cutting off circulation to the brain, which puts participants in a state of euphoria. "They think it's a safe alternative to drugs and alcohol, and it's just not," Ed Williams said. My Late Friend, Megan Williams. |
