The police suspect a couple who stopped by the station to fuel
The fetus a baby, apparently between 25 and 30 weeks of gestation, was found inside a Station bathroom, on Highway BR-158, in Paraná State.
The fetus was found in the ladies room of the station, when a woman was using the site. She told the attendant who reported to the police.
The police suspect a couple who walked past station for gas and the man asked for help from the attendant, saying that his wife wasn't feeling well and needed a clean knife and a little alcohol.
The attendant recommended that the couple look for a doctor.
"Not knowing what it was about," says the attendant of the station.
Inside the bathroom, in addition to the fetus, was found bloodstains on the floor and in the sink.
Outside, the police collected a pair of cutting pliers, probably used to cut the umbilical cord. Before leaving the stand, the man fueled his vehicle, purchased motor oil, soda and a candy bar. The attendant also heard the driver make a call and mention they were going in a hurry to the city of Londrina.
The civilian police will analyze the images from security cameras to try to identify the couple who had the abortion and abandoned the fetus at the site. Employee of the IML said that it was a boy and it was in perfect condition.
