Re: Female Suicide Case With Lots of Pictures (Very Graphic)
My first thought was, she committed suicide in boiling water, 'cause meat doesn't get separated from bones that easy. But that is only for her leg outside the bathtube. She must have spent weeks or even months there, not just a couple of days.

Pretty sick. I wonder how long she was there before the neighbors could smell anything. A few days is pretty vague.

Hey, butterfly has a point. There is some kind of ligature around that woman's throat, and it is tight as hell, too. No sign of blood to indicate the slashing of her wrists. Besides, based on the photos, her wrists look fine. This, indeed, appears to be a homicide due to strangulation.

Re: Female Suicide Case With Lots of Pictures (Very Graphic)
Likely cause of death was suicide by auto-asphyxiation. She hung herself with the electrical cord onto the shower curtain pipe. After dying, the pipe broke, causing her to fall into the tub and break the faucet. From the broken faucet, water came out and her hair blocked the water from flowing out or there was already a drainage plug. It then took a few days for her flesh to decompose. The maggots set on at <30 hours after death as freshly hatched larvae. However, the maggots in the picture are beyond the first stage so probably 3-7 days (no flies)? Blood pooling in the legs would probably have caused rapid decomposition in the legs. The open wounds in the arms are from the decomposition. The right leg (on the floor) decomposed faster due to air exposure. Yay CSI :P |
