This isn't true. If you've ever had a wet bathing suit or a soaking wet pair of shorts after trying to get a stain out, they can be damp and wet for 8 hours for sure.

Suicide is a selfish act and is meant to hurt someone else generaly. I have been to a few suicides just after the fact and the reasonings for the most part were petty. Im pregnant, he left me, my parents are mad at me, etc. All easily solved with some work. What we see on these threads are those who took the easy way out.

Exactly. I grew up in a rather well-off household - never wanted for anything, yet from the age of 12, I suffered terribly from depression. I'm now 40, piss poor + am still depressive. No amount (or lack) of money can sort out the chemical imbalance of the brain.
