Are you sure? Since when did soldiers wear nail varnish and rings......
They are allowed to wear wedding rings. I have seen US Airforce women wear nail polish and lots of make-up, with hair "did" to bring it all together....

This was a female soldier in Afghanistan who stepped on a mine. I know she was alive when this was taken, don' t know if she lived.
They allow soldiers to wear nail pollish ?

Looks like she might have had an infection, or something ate her. The swollen vaginal wall suggests more-so of an infection and this is the after-result of it being cut away to show the damage.

Although looking at this... I'm reminded of spaghetti...

Actually, being so close to the "injury" site, can cause it to swell up quickly. Depending upon how much time elasped from when they got her to the medics/emergency room. Such a large injury can cause it to swell within only 20 minutes, or less.
