Let me put it this way: if you take a lifelong Eskimo and plant his pale ass in LA (or anywhere in the Southeast US) in the dead of August, it would be akin to pouring salt all over a gunshot wound while stomping on the wound.

Luckily, I’m no stranger to the “heat”. I’ve never lived anywhere north of Virginia. But the kind of heat that the Deep South faces, while survivable, is pure agony for those not used to it.

Like, here in the US: in Louisiana in the dead of summer, a cadaver will look riper after 2 days than in an Idaho winter after 2 weeks. A close analogy would be Russia vs Cambodia. Idaho is among the driest and coldest states in the US, and Louisiana is among the hottest and most humid. Same goes with Russia and Cambodia on a global scale, respectively.

Thanks for this info. Logically, it seemed possible to me, but emotionally, it breaks my heart for her family to see this.
