It might be psychological. A sort of acceptance of what they feel needs to be done, but done on their terms. Going out as they came in in complete joy of surrender.

Which begs the question, how many have you seen that lets you gauge in the 1 in 200 range?

I don't have any photographs from hangings in the US, no. Likely never will. Aside from Katelyn Davis, of course, whose hanging video is in the video section of our site.

I've archived a great deal of hanging autopsy reports from decedents in the US, but photos are a different story.
