Yes, she did. She studied Dentistry and Medicine. Her mom and she screamed thieves, thieves so the two bike robbers fled outside followed by her. She went in again to grab a broomstick and when she tried to take a swing at them one of them shot her in the chest and she died.

My sisters got to their home one night, someone walked into the driveway, demanded they give him their stuff. My little sister handed it over. But my older sister said No. He took a gun out and held it to her face, demanding her stuff. She was angry that that pos was robbing them of their possessions. How dare he. But then she realized, the asshole could just shoot both of them...she handed over her stuff. When I learned about that...too fucking surreal. She could have easily been shot, our little sister too....traumatizing.
Can't replace a human being, so if it means having the pos rob you...let it happen and have a chance to live.

Been there. I don't think you can ever explain it to someone else clear enough, until you have that sobering moment a gun is in your face.
The thought that was going through my head at the time was; he was yelling at me, that I was holding out, there has to be more. But secondly, is he still going to shoot me to eliminate a witness, or does he get more bonus points from his gang if he shoots? (There were just stories about initiations where new gang members had to walk up to a stranger and shoot them. Cold blooded, no reason, but it proves loyalty to the gang.)

It was a hard 4 more years after that, thinking about it a lot, I wanted a real clear head, not a response type decision, but really calculated - because when you have to think about killing someone... But, now I am a conceal carry holder, and won't hesitate if the situation arises and my or someone else's life might be in the balance.
