Happens all the time even in first world countries. After Hurricane María here in Puerto Rico some 14 people have died from their generators. In one of the cases, the generator was out on the patio but an unlucky turn of wind brought the fumes inside and offed 3 people. You can't be too careful.

I would seem so judging from the handkerchiefs over the nose and mouths of the guys standing by the truck after the bodies were removed.

This is one thing I will never, ever die of, because I'm paranoid about it. I even have a portable monoxide detector I carry for travel, and I have a hard time sleeping without a detector near me. There ain't no punk ass monoxide that's gonna kill my sleeping ass.  |
