I think its a seal and i also think that some of the pictures (especially this one) were taken during the "Robbensterben" (seals mass dying) that occured in the North Sea in 1988. During holidays I was there being a little boy and it was absolutely enormous: dead seals everyeveryeverywhere! We visited a sandbank and there was no sand at all: only smell, maggots and dead seals.
