Re: Eye-popping Experience With a Machinegun in Iraq

So, was there an IED in the car, or are we conveniently forgetting about that?

Re: Eye-popping Experience With a Machinegun in Iraq

Good point.

I remember one of the so called 'friendly-fire' incidents with UK troops being hit by US pilots who failed to see numerous allied markings. If my memory serves me correctly, the US would not even release the pilots to the UK judiciary for questioning(!) and funnily enough...no one was found guilty...

If the UK cannot bring justice over it's own troop deaths at the hands of the US, then what chance does an Iraqi civilian have...
Turns out that when US "soldiers" raped, beat, killed and mutilated 300-500 civilians, mostly women and children at My Lai, there were severe repercussions. Out of the 26 murderers, one had to serve 3 years of house arrest. Poor guy, he just wanted to rape and kill, much like the majority of army personnel.

Re: Eye-popping Experience With a Machinegun in Iraq

I would of done the same thing and i for one hate iraqi deaths, american deaths or any war crime deaths. How fricken ever-If a vehicle came charging at me against all orders for it to stop, i would blast them too. There are some drivers on the road where there are no threats of suicide bombers that i'd like to shoot at, let alone where the threat of human bombs coming straight towards me,is a common thing. or something like that!
Nice pic scorpion0006 -

I'm waiting for my neighbor to run the stop sign at the end of our street.
I'mma let that bitch have it.....

I'm military and agree 100% on what was said about people not stopping at checkpoints.

I just really hate my neighbor.

Re: Eye-popping Experience With a Machinegun in Iraq

You know what, I get sick of people who have attitudes like you. I've been to the sandbox, I was stuck in Fallujah as a Marine for quite some time. when there is a checkpoint being conducted and someone does not stop when they are told to, they get shot. I'm pretty sure you've never been in uniform, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if you against the war. There is nothing wrong with that attitude, but believe me, you don't just open fire on a vehicle for no reason, you'd end up in a federal prison for the rest of your life for MURDER. These people obviously warranted actions that brought this escalation of force upon them. Damn near every unit's standard operating procedure calls for firing upon a vehicle that does not stop; it's not the unit or the guard's fault that some idiot retard from a third world country doesn't want to listen and comply. Sounds to me like the idiots got what was coming to them.
dude, i empathize with your sentiments. however, you should also see things from the angle of others. afterall, bush called for the attack of iraq under the guise of iraq having wmd. as a result, the lay-man would now be asking for justification each time american troops are deemed to be "attacking" someone or some country. if you can mess up a whole country with a trumped up reason, you sure can shoot a car without cause as well. viking64 merely needed to know. dont get so easily perturbed, blake. peace.
