I’m a Funeral Director and Embalmer in Canada and we pouch people who aren’t going to be embalmed whether it is a trauma case or not :) Especially if someone is going to sit in a vault over winter, it stops the fluids from leaking everywhere when we finally hold the spring burial. We double bag if it is a pretty stinky person, and include stuff like coffee grounds or a chemical called scat or biozime from Dodge Chemicals to cover up the odours.
