That is really brutal. He literally got him right under his chin. I believe the theory that he pulled his head back and cut. Whatever happened that was a nasty way to die.

To decapitate you need to make the cut right under the chin. When you see the arabs sawing and chopping away for 5 minutes they cut too low.
