Epic Throat Cut Homicide
Accompanying text: This man was slaughtered by his own brother. One can notice that there were an over killing. Beside the cut throat,there was multiple stab wounds in the back of the neck and cut back of the neck mounting to separation of cervicl vertebrae. Very strange that the spinal cord was not cut. Another feature of this case is that the cut wound in the front of the neck is situated high up in the neck,contrary to classic feature of homicidal cut throat wounds of being situated in the lower neck. This position led to the assumption that,the assailent came from behind the victim,pulled his hair and consequently his head backward and did the job by a single slash. Defence wounds were present on the dorsal and palmer surface of the hand,indicating an attempt of the victim to ward off and grasp the knife. The left jugular vein and left carotid artery were cut at the level of the upper border of the larangyal cartilage.  ·  ·  · |

Looks like some of the wounds may have been post mortem. Usually when live muscle and skin are cut the wound tends to pull into itself. Good post and explanation. |

That is really brutal. He literally got him right under his chin. I believe the theory that he pulled his head back and cut. Whatever happened that was a nasty way to die. Amazing post Sharon. |
