Re: Entire Family Hangs Themselves on New Year's Eve
Makes sense. I doubted this story as soon as opened the story. What are the odds of an ENTIRE FAMILY hanging themselves? Surely one would have not wanted to do it. I assumed from the start that it was a staged multiple murder or staged multiple murder-suicide.

Re: Entire Family Hangs Themselves on New Year's Eve
It seems suspicious to me that all the individuals that died each left a death scene so uniform and consistent with each other. People usually respond individually to life or death circumstances when that Survival Instinct kicks in. I'm thinking murder/suicide. Straight murder with posing. Or some kind of facilitator involvement. I dunno. It just strikes me as 'off' as it's been described. |

Wow, that is just horrible. I hate to read about the murder/suicide cases because a lot of times it involves entire families including kids. Like this one. They didn't have a chance! |

Re: Entire Family Hangs Themselves on New Year's Eve
Its probably just a suicide case. Incidents like this are quite common in southeast asia. Its not even the biggest suicide pact I ever noticed. I once saw a news report of several family members, which hanged themselves along a beam in their house. Mother, father, daugters, sons, uncles, aunts, grandparents...all in a nice row. But nevertheless, the hanging body which this attached teddybear is hilarious. Suicide pacts by hanging are common this part of the world. You cant judge this matter by western standards. Virtually all countries in this area are just shit. Poverty, religious suppression, femihate, no social aid, horrible health care etc. It is certainly very easy to quit, when you have to live like this. Just the latest case I found: Another couple emigrated elsewhere, for whatever reasons. This happens every day and no one really cares about. If those two would have had children, they would hang there, too. There is no care for orpans....thats why. Probably the huge size of populaions in those countries devalue human life to an extent, which is unimaginable for westerners. |

Re: Entire Family Hangs Themselves on New Year's Eve
I think this clearly the work of an outside agent, perhaps a mob hit. Unless the father convinced them all to jump at the same time with nobody backing out, it all seems very neat with the spacing of the ropes etc, just made for display. I'd also like to know how the stuffed toy is tethered to the daughter. The presence of the toy is a bit suss to me, seems like something a clumsy mob guy would insist on and it seems unlikely she would pin it to herself. Then there's the two dead people on the bed. I think a more likely scenario is mobsters killed the father's mum and sister, then forced him to hang his kids before hanging himself. |
