Re: Embalming A Body

Well, knowing that you want to pursue this line of work, you can try to mentally prepare yourself for the things you will see, but it doesn't work. You might think you have prepared yourself for the visuals that you will undoubtedly see, but they will still take a tole on you.

On the other hand, this line of work doesn't show any signs of going away, as long as we humans continue with our current way of thinking, funeral directors will be around as long as we are.
at least in that line of work, no costumer is going to return and complain about a sloppy job.:D

a costumer is one who makes costumes. i meant to say a customer. its probably called a client over there. google or wiki is for everybody. dont be ashamed to use it. not too many uses the word client where im from. mostly anybody who pays for labor, buys anything is called a customer

i find it very fulfilling, we can take a face that has been horribly mutilated and almost put it back to it's original look. it's very comforting for family to be able to see and touch the one they have just lost. Embalming is about preservation and restoring.

Re: Embalming A Body

Thats very strange. I worked in a morgue embalming bodies for a medical school. We always went via the femoral in the groin. Its the largest artery in the extremities. I wonder if there is more to this than a simple embalming.
