Just curious...In that particular case, are you referring to the murder of Mary Jane Reed and Stanley Skridla?

Yes, that is the case. They were killed in 1948. Skridla's body was exhumed some time later, with the hope that some new evidence would be found...namely Mary jane's skull or some other unspecified evidence, but apparently to no avail. What happened to the real skull of Mary jane Reed still remains a mystery...or who's skull was in her casket, likewise, remains unknown.
