Yeah, I'm inclined to say the elephant was retaliating for something. Elephants are very altruistic and go out of their way to avoid hurting animals/humans. However - the guy is already down in the first pic - could be that the elephant was just being curious and checking out an existing corpse. They're known to play with dead bodies - especially those of their own family groups. |

Elephants will do everything they can to destroy something that may have hurt them in some way, even if it's to step on them. Elephants are VERY powerful animals and will do anything and everything to destroy. Sadly, the man probably hurt the elephant and the animal finally found the opportunity to get even.
