Hyenas always seem to know where the fresh meat is, at least it seems that way in every documentary. I'm sure there were lots of predators fighting over this before it was gone.

oh yea, hyenas will eat anything dead or alive. they even eat the bones. hyenas have one of the strongest jaws in the mammalian family. jaw crushing power that rival lions and tigers. crunch!
