Re: Elderly Woman Mauled to Death by Her Rotweiller

Are you serious? couple of things that don't point to that being the case, if she had died and then a while after the dog decided to eat her then there would not be that level of blood loss ......blood pumps when the heart is beating ;-) Also "generally" the dogs will go first to the soft part of the body first ( stomach ) to eat the organs, the arm injuries are more likely from the attack rather than the dog consuming her, old thin arms tear easily. And then if you look at her body there is significant blood over the front of her body from bleeding then sliding around in the blood during the struggle, if she had died on her back then the front of her body would not be covered in blood.

Door was covered in blood ,because dog wanted out for a drink....yea your probably right...dog done a number on her, then had a chew..

I don't have the links on me, but actually from what I've seen on DR, it is most common if a dog is going to eat an already dead person that they start from the face.

Dogs aren't known for turning over corpses. They will start from whatever is readily available. Face down and ass up, where do you think Fido will start chewing? (A general point, not intended to apply to this specific case.)

Re: Elderly Woman Mauled to Death by Her Rotweiller

except for the fact she has blood all over the front of her body and there is so much blood everywhere from the struggle
When I feed my dogs dead whole animals (rabbits, guinea pigs) They also get blood all over their kennel floors. It does not indicate that the body was alive while being eaten.

It's from moving the body around with exposed meat. The human's body is so much bigger though - you wouldn't think there'd be that much movement.

Who knows, the beast may have done her in. Or had a freshly pre-deceased meal or two.
