One guy I knew killed himself this way.
He watched many Fast and the Furious movies and was drawn to the culture. One night while drag racing, they were seen by the police and he tried to outrun them. He turned off his headlights and decided to zip through a residential area that had a lot of parked cars on the street. He eventually plowed into the rear end of a heavy work truck. Luckily it was very late in the evening and no one else was hurt. Evidently he was tweeking again, because I seen a picture of his crumpled car and I could see a roll of Reynolds alluminum foil hanging from the passenger floorboard lol. Last thing I seen posted on his facebook was pictures from a car show he attended the previous night.
In conclusion, meth, street racing and disregarding the simple laws of physics can get you killed.

The contestants are lined up by cell phones, converge on a spot at the appointed time, do their racing, and disappear pretty quickly. Only occasionally can the cops find out about a scheduled race bout, and surround the area to give tickets to everyone. Mostly they can't catch them. We have had several fatalities, but fortunately usually only the racers, since they pick roads well out of town, or ones that have no traffic.

Definitely not a scheduled one, those happen in dead of night. But more like a bit of my car's better than yours on the way home. Such a shame to have another car crushed due to our anti hoon laws (not)
