I don't think snakes eat dead things. They wrap around their victim and suffocate it before they swallow it whole.

This is a FAKE. A hoax, Confirmed by more than one Herpetological source. There has never been a scientifically documented case of a snake of any species consuming a human. Not even a child. There is data supporting large constrictors attempting to consume very small children but these have only been attempts, all on limbs. All data has shown the animal releases or " spits out" the limb very quickly after the attempt.
