Whereas it si correct the these events take place every year during Good Friday, the participants do so willingly. Every year a few men volunter to re-live the Passion and Death of Christ. This is not done in the name of the Church but rather as act of faith, humility and to contriction. Disturbing, perhabs (including to me). But lets be clear about the story behind it.

Australian comedian John Safran, going by the name John Michael and obviously wearing a wig, recently got crucified in the Philippines for his new TV show. Pretty funny guy Safran. and it will mean nothing to them when the time comes, i believe religion is there just to make people feel safe and secure so they will not have a fear of death but have a belief that there is another life after death.

Now this is just absurd. Can you imagine the infection, amongst other things? The Bible is just a story that's been handed down for millenia and who even KNOWS if it was based off fact? I mean, older ass religions way way before Christianity held the same freaking stories! So these morons are crucifying themselves for WHAT? Belief and hope in nothing more than an over inflated mother goose story. So what happens if they go into medical trouble before the 3 hours are up? If they die, hey, that was there reward and up to heaven they go???? *eyes roll* religion. pfffft And just on a note: I was brought up Methodist. just those who take it to such a freakin' extreme are retarded. |
