Easter Time!!!!!!!
The Philippines is the ONLY country in the world where crucifixion are still done on an annual basis in the name of the catholic church. The philippines is a majority catholic country, nearly 92% of the population are catholics. every easter hundreds of filipinos recreate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and thousands of people partake in the "procession" this is where hundreds even thousands of men walk and crawl for miles from church to church while they slash and flogg their own backs and flesh, they also wear barb wire of thorns around their heads. this is in their belief that their sins will be forgiven, the crucifixion is real and they are made to carry their heavy wooden logs for hours and at the stroke of noon they are crucified and left there for 3 hours.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

 yep, this really happens every March/ April depending on when the Holy Week falls...they believe that this would help wash away their sins. Others do this as a sort of sacrifice for a long sought-after answer to their prayers,. Not all Filipinos however do this. This just happens in some provinces in the Philippines |
